Patout's is filthy. Live bugs on the bar? The manager says they're not a problem. I disagree. Felix's took an hour and a half to make a sandwich and the two tables on either side of us sent food back. Maybe just a bad day for them. This town is full of great places to eat .. . except here! The band drew us in; should've saved our money and listened from the street. The place was dirty and the staff, even the owner, were rude. Like they didn't need any business, yet place was empty. Tried next door, turns out same owner for Cajun Cabin and Bourbon Viex too. SKIP 'EM!
The food was average, and overpriced. Leave a Comment Theme: SeafoodPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Bourbon StDirections: Bourbon St

The first thing we needed to do when we got to New Orleans eat - we were starving!! We checked in at the hotel and then just went walking. We knew we would find something in a city like this. On Bourbon Street, the first place we saw was people eating outside on a balcony - it looked perfect and it was! Patouts had a live band playing inside by the bar, but we asked to eat upstairs, on the balcony. The waiter, who was very friendly, took us right up and asked if we wanted to try some hurricanes. OF COURSE we did, and they were so good. I ordered a shrimp po-boy which I had never had before and have been hooked ever since. It was great - drinking a hurricane, eating a po-boy overlooking Bourbon Street - it doesnt get any better than that!
