Our experience here was alright. I had barbeque shrimps and my husband had a gumbo. it was delicious but I had tummy ache couple hours after our dinner. It must have been the way they fixed it or too much spicy in it. who knows..
this is what you have when you have a meal in N'awleans...please take your time...eat each bite real slow...savour it...feel it...try to remember it always...look at the people around you enjoying themselves...laugh...have fun...I always have to have a shot of alcohol before I eat oysters on the half-shell but if your lucky you don't have to do that...crawfish..same thing...but I still do it...eating in N'awlins is a sensual experience..enjoy it...becasue when its good its really good...
Favorite Dish: crawfish etouffe....
I think most food in n'awlins is an aphrodisiac..I cannot recommend a dish...I can recommend a feeling...enjoy!!!!!!!
Has a great inside court where you can dine in the open.
Favorite Dish: Blackened fish. They just dip the filet in butter and spices, they throw it on a white hot skillet. It's crunchy and spicy on the outside, tasty and juicy on the inside.
This is a beautiful place. Half a block from Bourbon Street, the Olde Nawlins Cookery boasts traditional Cajun fare with an elegant flair. The food is good, portions are plentiful, and the dining in the courtyard is a must.
Favorite Dish: Blackened Catfish
I can't totally recall the name of the restaurant but it was on St.Charles Str. It was actually a culinary school so you ate fine cuisine for the cost of McDonald's!! I will try to remember the name of this place because the food was soooo good!! If you are a fan of seafood then you will be laughing in The Big Easy. You may have a harder time if you don't care for it like myself. I managed just fine though.
