You never know what you're going to see on Bourbon Street---day or night! Here's a funny kind of jazz funeral that just appeared in the early afternoon.
Just look at the signs especially at night when they are more visible... not for the prudish... anything goes here.:-)

This city is certainly unique in the characters you see wandering about or hanging out. Of course the type of 'character' changes a great deal at night time but its still fun.
You need to go down there both during the day and the night when the transformation is more intense and flashy not to mention noisier.

If anyone has heard of New Orleans, then they most surely have heard of Bourbon Street. The bars, crowds, smells, music and bawdy neons are all part and parcel of the atmosphere of the Street.

Walk down Bourbon Street in the evening.
See crazy people doing a lot of drinking, all the adult places come to life, and listen in on the good ol' New Orleans Jazz.
You just have to walk on Bourbon Street and take a picture on the many signs :). This is a pic of my mother and sister.
