What's so special about getting drunk on the Riverwalk? It's more romantic - getting sh*tfaced with that lovely breeze coming down the Mississippi... listen to some street music or make your own... you are drunk.
It stretched the entire length of the Quarter along the Mississippi River. You'll have easy access to shops, restaurants, riverboats and the Aquarium of the Americas. The Moonwalk also provides a beautiful evening stroll on a clear night with a full moon!
The Riverwalk and the surrounding area was extensively rennovated for the World's Fair during the early eighties (my memory of which is very vague, for I was only a few years old when it happened). There are great fountains and stores dotting the waterfront, and there is an awesome view of the mighty Mississip through the glass windows of the main riverwalk shopping center. It is a very touristy area, but still worth the visit.
Conveniently located next to the Convention Center and neighboring the Aquarium of the Americas, Riverwalk is the home of 140 stores, restaurants, and one-of-a-kind pushcarts, filled with the best gifts, tastes and styles in New Orleans.
The Riverwalk Jazz Band cand he seen and heard playing throughtout this mall for your pleasure.
Riverwalk, a large shopping center and entertainment complex, is a great place to spend some time. There are countless foodstalls inside, shops aplenty, and most afternoons there is a jazz combo, a rock band, or even a chamber orchestra playing on the little stage outside.

The Riverwalk is similar to a mall with a food quart and shops. If you are in search of New Orleans momentos for the family at home then this is the place to visit. The outside is surrounded by beautiful water fountains (to keep you cool) and vendor carts. Even if its not Mardi Gra season this is the place to go for beads and crazy glasses to take home.
Yes, we have one too.
Worth visiting is the "360", on the 33rd floor.
This rotating bar makes a complete revolution every hour, overlooking greater New Orleans. You are required to buy drinks as you sit and enjoy the panoramic view.
From its 33-story WTC building on Canal Street at the riverfront visit the 360 club on the top floor!!!
Stroll along the River Walk, a nice broad promenade with benches. You'll pass the paddlewheel boats, Jackson Brewery, Aquarium and Imax Theatre and Riverwalk Mall.
HARBOUR WALK: Really pretty...with all of those ships in the harbour...Getting up close and personal with the Mississippi River...
