Pat O'Brien's by ATXtraveler If you are looking for the drink that defines New Orleans, most people would send you to Pat O'Briens.... also know as Patty O's or Pat O's or "That really good place to get a hurricane". This location is right off of Bourbon street, and also has a shop associated with it, where you can purchase the hurricane mix for your own mardi gras parties! Enjoy, but drink safely! by luiggi Bourbon Street and the French Quarter offers virtually every kind of modern music that's played. From traditional New Orleans (Dixieland) jazz to rock, bop, hip-hop and funk -- it's all there and available on a continuing basis twenty for hours a day. From morning to the wee hours of the night, music is plentiful, exciting and everywhere. Leave a Comment Theme: Live Music

Razoo by Jacquelynn Every time I have been to Razoo's, it was packed. There is a cool courtyard out back where you can generally find room to breathe. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: 511 Bourbon St.Phone: (504) 522-5100

Don't worry. It won't fall down. by aemaya A must go. Another place I'll visit at least once before I go home. One of the oldest buildings in the Quarter and it shows. The architecture will keep your interest until the drinks set in and you are drawn to the piano in the back. This is what New Orleans is all about. A local ancient man singing some good ol' New O jazz at the piano. You can pull up a stool, sit your drinks down on the piano, and sing along. This guy knows all Frank Sinatra songs. Even after searching for rare cuts on the internet, I still have never found one that he can't play or sing. Make sure to dance at least one slow song w/ someone. New Orleans is all about the voodoo of romance and special moments. This is a good place to start. The website below is actually a review. Apparently I am not the only one who loves this place.
Whatever. It's a semi local bar. Leave a Comment

Another key kissing spot by aemaya Great low key bar. Make out with a girl in the photoboth. This is what everyone does at Molly’s.
I've seen naked people here during Mardi Gras. Leave a Comment

The calm before the storm... by aemaya One of the classiest “men’s” bars in the Quarter. Clean and always lots of fun. Don’t let them take you upstairs. EVER. I don’t care how hot she is or how drunk you are. You won’t leave without spending a good grand on your credit card if you do.
Business casual except during Mardi Gras and other misc. holidays, then it's open season. Leave a Comment Theme: Adult SpotAddress: 315 Bourbon StreetPhone: ph (504) 524-4222Directions: Smack in the middle of Bourbon Street.Website: www.rickscabaret.com

Home away from home by aemaya The R Bar and I go way back. My little sis used to live across the street. Literally - about 4 yards. (This came in handy often.) The decor in this bar alone will make it worth the trip to the edge of the quarter. How many places do you know that have an entire skeletal band hanging from the ceiling? Or a suspended motorcycle? They have all the local beers (Abita, Dixie) at local prices. Good selection on the jukebox. I fell in love with Billie Holiday here. 50 cent pool table. Very comfortable atmosphere - play in the dentist chair. Well unless I'm in town. That's my seat. ; ) Has an inn upstairs. Cute w/ nice balconies. Very convenient. Drink downstairs, pass out upstairs. Nice.
Ha ha. This is a local bar. You could wear anything from a tux to a leopard skin thong. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingAddress: 1431 Royal StreetPhone: 1-800-449-5535Directions: Edge of Quarter. Just off Royal and EsplanadeWebsite: http://www.royalstreetinn.com/

by keeweechic Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville Cafe is quite a colourful joint with a very definite island atmosphere. There is live musical performances by local artists in their Storyville Tavern. Music is free in the Tavern from 3pm to midnight. The tables and seats are airbrushed with colourful tropical scenes. The menu is New Orleans regional fare. Men beware of the restrooms, I’m told that the cubicles have no doors. No problem in the women’s though. . Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicAddress: 1104 Decatur Street, New Orleans
