Ive never been to the Frog festival but I hear its fun. Im planning to go next year. Its $3 for Adults
Roberts Cove Germanfest the closest Louisiana will ever get to Germany. Great german food like potato soup and beef stew and zuckerplasten (sugar cookies)
Lots of entertainers Accordian players and yodelers abound. Youll be the hit if you come in german costume (which is incouraged).Unlike most festival in Louisiana you have to pay a little I think you pay by the car.

Good for: Families
The decor and ambience in Studebakers was not so impressive; but the waitress was very friendly and helpful and the food was great. I was there when they had a seafood buffet. Catfish, an outstanding shrimp creole and a very tasty gumbo.
Favorite Dish: The shrimp creole and the gumbo (I had thirds).
when we drove into Rayne to get some refreshments we saw a few murals at the roadside. We thought then that these would be the only ones there where here. But when we got home we learned that Rayne is The Louisiana City of Murals.
These murals are made under supervision of the Rayne Beautification Board. Their goal is to decorate blank walls with paintings displaying frogs.
So if you drive by Rayne be smarter as we where just drive into town because these murals are really worth a better look..
