Everywhere Says the same-STAY OUT. The town of Kennebunkport has no accomodation for parking to speak of. Some is down by the harbor, and others farther out. The bad situation is they are full all the time. Trying to park of a side street, or in some ones lot, or along the streets, will get you towed, and/or ticketed. Many, many sings forewarn not to park in places, or get towed. It is a HASSLE. I am sure the locals are tired of tourists coming and trouncing on their turf, and this is the payback.

    Tour Bus Stampedes !

Kennebunkport is a tourist town, and it gets its share of visitors. For the most part, they tend to be quiet and laid back sorts, gentle enjoying the scenery and appeal of this lovely place.

There's nothing wrong with the folks who choose to visit the Kennebunks via tour bus. It's just that there are so many of them, and that they tend to go everywhere in one big group. The word stampede comes to mind.

The best way to survive the bus boppers is to just go the other way. Like I say, they tend to travel all together. (understandable....the folks on the buses are kind of "high maintenance" travelers, the type who want someone to take care of them, therefore they don't tend to wander off on their own vere much) When you see the bolus of bus people headed into a group of shops, just go a block or two away and shop elsewhere until they're called back to the bus for another ride. : )

The one and only public place to use the facilites is behind the shops. The lines can take the women at least 1/2 on a good day-I am sure more in summer
