Maine Shopping

  • Heaven on this planet

Planet Dog is an Eco friendly store with so many wonderful items for dogs. The have a great community outreach program that gives back to those in need, and you cannot beat the quality of their toys and gear. Any of the dog toys are amazing, I also love the fleece lined collars, harnesses and leashes.

  • Brewery Tour

Bring home some brewed in Lewiston beer. They have a wonderful gift shop to visit after the brewery tour. Beer...and all things "Baxter".

  • Dog Friendly

Great pet store with unique items for your furry friend from gifts to gear, toys to treats! Dogs are welcome to visit! They have Whoopie Pies for dogs!

  • Shopping in FREEPORT

Freeport is a big open-air shopping mall. I am afraid there is anything but outlets and outlets of everything. Beside L.L.Bean, about which I will write a proper tip, Freeport have the outlets of Calvin Klein, Abercrombie, The North Face, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfinger. Just a warning: if you are going to visit New Hemphshire as well, consider that...

  • Arts etc. in Ogunquit

I personally am not a big shopper, but our American friends are *olympic* shoppers, LOL. My mother couldn't stay far behind ...Anyway, even I found the atmosphere in that small, picturesque village Perkins Cove, which is actually the harbour area of Ogunquit to be encouraging for shopping. Cute small houses were turned to shops with interesting...

  • Don't let the name fool you

Despite the name, this is not a store of just Christmas items. It is a big box store that seems to sell batches of overstocked items or seconds from who knows how many sources. You never know what you will find. One year they had lawn sprinklers for 50 cents each! We got a real nice canvas firewood carrier for 5 or 6 bucks.summer hours are 8 am to...

Maine has an abundance of FLEA MARKETS. We passed so many as we drove along scenic #1 highway. I love snooping in Flea Markets with the only disappointment is that it's harder and harder to find that bargain antique or collector's item anymore. Perhaps sellers have gotten more savvy about what they're selling or have gotten just a tad bit more...

  • The Outlet Malls

We love stopping in Kittery for shopping . There is a big selection of really good name products and the prices are very good . There are over 120 stores I think. If you plan to go you should go to thier website for discount coupons..Sunday 10am - 6pmMonday - Saturday 9am - 9pm

  • The farther north you travel...

We noticed that the farther north we traveled in Maine, the more expensive everything became. For example, gasoline down in Bar Harbor was about $1.87 per gallon and then up near Caribou is was about $2.10. Food was a little more as well...and cigarettes, if you're a smoker. If you're going to be traveling up that way, you might want to fill up...

  • Small Town USA shopping...

When passing through the small towns along Maine's coast, stop in and do some shopping in the five and dimes that still litter these quaint places, right beside the more touristy shops. It will give you a glimpse into a simpler time and make you wonder just why we "progressed" in the first place.

  • Eartha

There are a large variety of maps and mapping devices , including GPS for auto and US street maps , topographical hiking maps , books and childrens products. • Designer Shops

The Freeport/Kittery area of southern Maine specializes in shopping plazas featuring designer stores hawking their wares! Mixed in amongst these is a Maine tradition, the L.L. Bean store, outfitters for the outdoorsman for decades. Mr. Bean was a native of Maine who gradually came to realize that certain types of clothing and implements were...

There is much more here than sporting goods. There is clothing and footwear. as well as tents, bikes, fishing gear and that sort of thing. There are home furnishings, foods, books and much more.
