This Maine Landmarks home is a private residence but embodies an interesting piece of local history. It was built by Richard Manning, Uncle to the author Nathaniel Hawthorne, in 1810, in Raymondtown Massachusetts. Then Maine separated from Massachusetts in 1820 and it was located in Raymondtown MA. In 1841 Casco separated from Raymondtown and became a separated town, so it now is located in South Casco Maine.
