I'm not much of a shopper, it takes a unique store to make me a repeat customer. The Little Bull is the only store in York, Maine that I visit every time I'm in the area. I love the Native American goods, especially the jewelry!!
What to buy: The little bull sells a wide variety of items including handcrafted Native American jewelry, art work, tee- shirts, moccasins, CDs
I usually head for the jewelry counter. I've also purchased clothes, moccasins, Art, and gift items such as mugs, magnets and little turtle figures.
What to pay: Prices are from reasonable to expensive. Whatever you buy, it's worth the price.

HUGE selection of jewelry, some decent and some crappy. Some of the sterling silver jewelry is sold by weight.
In my experience the staff is not overly friendly, I'm sure it depends on who you are dealing with.

This store sells stuff made by Inmates from Maine and elsewhere; gifts, furniture, clothing.
The idea is to teach inmates a skill which they can use when they get out of prison.
What to buy: Maine gifts, jewelry, carvings, T-shirts, household items
What to pay: Depends on what you buy.
Most Maine related gift items are $20 and under.

I never saw a lighthouse in person before until I went to York Beach. I was able to get a picture with the lighthouse light on. What a beautiful site!!!

One of the places we enjoyed inside the zoo was The Butterfly Kingdom. You were able to see different colored species of Butterfly fly around freely.
