Da Mimmo's., Baltimore

Firstly, if the faded pictures on the bar walls are to be believed, there hasn't been a celebrity in this place in 20 years. Secondly, it would appear that the snotty manager Masood is now the executive chef. The menu hasn't evolved in any way since Mimmo died, the food is still overpriced and overcooked, and they still fail to tell you that the "specials" like the lobster tetrazini and that huge veal chop are $55+ entrees. The limo only picks up guests from the hotels, probably due to the fact that the locals would never eat here.

For a night of Italian, there is no better place than Baltimore's Little Italy. There is a multitude of restaurants filled with Italian delectables!! One of my favorites is definately Da Mimmo's.

There is a bit of a home feeling admist its refined atmosphere. The ambience is contagious and the food fantastic. There is always a welcome feel in this cozy place. The service is excellent as well.

Now you can have dessert here if you would like. Their desserts are fabulous. However, just to top the night off, I recommend walking to the nearby Vaccharo's just to enhance the evening.

Favorite Dish: My absolute favorite dish would have to be the linguine with crabmeat sauce. When I first saw that dish on the menu, I was a bit apprehensive. However, being a Marylander, there was some curiosity and interest peaked in the name. It was the most amazing dish!!! Very delicious!!

Upscale restaurant of the stars that will make you feel like you're in one of the Godfather movies. Bada bing...

Favorite Dish: They'll make up just about anything you ask them to if you give them some advance notice.
