Ok. Everyone eats here: the cops, the mailhandlers, the hip kids, the business crowd, the cab drivers, the local politicians.....it's your meatloaf and mash, or french fries and gravy type of place. This ain't your nouvelle cuisine place...although they have stepped up to romaine lettuce recently, instead of just using iceberg. But, there is something to be said for keeping up with the times.....
It's simple. Check the message board for the day's special. Probably, they are your best bet.
The place is very popular for breakfast (not BRUNCH, with it's bloodies and mimosas), but greasy, hash browns, pancakes, bacon & eggs type of breakfasts....so prepare to wait on Sunday mornings. Also, if you're unfamiliar with U.S. breakfasts, you should check out this morning food orgy thing.
Favorite Dish: Soups are homemade. The Jim Dandy sandwhich is a perennial fav.
Jimmy's is a celebrated greasy spoon-type neighborhood place where politicians go to press the flesh and take the public pulse. Burgers, subs, and breakfast served all day.
Favorite Dish: Breakfast is probably best - fast and cheap.
A leftover from when Fell's Point was a sailor's town... I've seen photos of this place in history books, selling meals for 3 cents in the 1930's.
I think I enjoy eating breakfast on the weekends here the most, you'll see many hungover people.
