    Male/Female sculpture

Since June 2004, Jonathan Borofsky’s 51-foot-tall aluminum sculpture towers over the plaza in front of Pennsylvania Station. Lots of locals has their own opinion of “Male/Female”—the shiny, vertically intersecting male and female metal silhouettes with the LED heart light that cycles from blue to magenta and back. I'm okay with certainly has all people discussing art which might be a good thing.

    Baltimore's Newest Eyesore

You have to see this to believe it. This is Baltimore's newest piece of street art. A Maine artist was paid a huge sum of money to design a statue for the plaza in front of the newly restored Pennsylvania Railway Station. And this is what we got. Its a giant statue of a man and woman intersected with blinking red and blue heart in the middle of their chest. There has been a lot of controversy about this statue. It was very expensive. It says nothing about the city or the station. It does not fit into the look of the area. Its just ugly. And it cost $750,000.

This is the main train station in Baltimore. Amtrak and MARC trains run north to Philly/NYC/Boston and south to Washington DC.

Lovely stain glass ceilings such as the one in Penn Station probably don't fare so well during hail storms, eh??
