Most people don't realize it, but Baltimore has its own tall building called the World Trade Center. It's located right on the water at the Inner Harbor, and may be the tallest building in the city. But, regardless of the accuracy of that fact, it does have an observation deck and it's worth an elevator ride to the top ($5 a person). We went up for the first time in October 2005 on the occassion of my parents visiting from Florida, and the view was spectacular.

Offering panoramic views across Baltimore's Inner Harbour and downtown areas and beyond, Baltimore's World Trade Center is the place to go for visitors to "Charm City".

The World Trade Centre in Baltimore is the world's tallest pentagonal shaped building and on the 27th floor you will find the city's observation deck called Top of the World. A visit to this observation deck will give you a good sense of the city.

The observation deck also contains an exhibit about Baltimore as well as a gift shop where you can buy various souvenirs - the Maryland crab features on many of these.

Admission is reasonably priced and disabled access is available.

A good way to view the entire Inner Harbor is to go to the observation deck of the Baltimore Trade Center building. You can see the entire Inner Harbor area and have good views of the city. The view is worth a few minutes.

Visit "Top of the World" to get a great view (and pictures like this one) of the city.
The observation level also has exhibits to help you learn more about the city.
There is a fee for admission.

We didn't actually go in the World Trade Center, but we walked around it. The World Trade Center is the most dominating building on the Inner Harbor. You can enter the center and view Baltimore from it's Top of the World Observation Deck on the 27th floor (we didn't) for a fee. Or you can just view it across the blue waters of the harbor.

The 27th floor of the world trade center has an observation deck over Baltimore Harbor and the downtown area. It's a great place for a picture of the skyline.

At 27 stories, 423 feet, this is the tallest pentagonal-shaped building in the world. The "Top of the World" is an observation deck offering a splendid view of the entire city. It's an excellent starting point for touring the Inner Harbor.

From here, one has excellent views of the harbor, Federal Hill, the USS Constellation, the National Aquarium, and Science Center, Harborplace, and all other attractions along the Inner Harbor.
