    As you drive the winding forestry roads you'll sometimes come across scenic overlooks. The ones off the dirt roads overlooking the Potomac River are the best.

    Perched on top of a ridge overlooking the Potomac River, with the mist rolling in, Site 86 resembles Valhalla. Any minute you expect a viking horde to come rushing out of the fog....which is better than at night having a 30 foot glow-in-the-dark running down the hillside into your campsite. That would not be cool. Anyway, full credit to my brother Keith for taking such a lovely aerial shot of the finest campsite in the 44,000 acre Green Ridge State Forest.

    Somewhere in the forest (I'll have to check the GPS coordinates) there's a cool tunnel. I believe it was a train tunnel leading to Paw Paw, West Virginia.

    That's it. Drink. Bring at least two 30 packs of beer for one weekend. Begin drinking as soon as you get there...continue until you're the last one still awake. Get some sleep, wake up, then within ten minutes crack open your first beer. Continue drinking non-stop until Sunday morning. Put beer down. Pray and thank the Lord for letting you have fun in the forest. Pack up and go home.
