Despite the fact that I really wasn't having a great experience in Ocean City, this restaurant was quite charming. It was set directly overlooking the ocean and the menu was great. Special music was played signaling that the sun was setting and all should enjoy the view. We were referred to this restaurant by a local and we were not disappointed. Though I didn't stay after dinner, there was a nightclub downstairs which was getting pretty busy as we were leaving. It was an upscale looking place, but very casual dresscode.

This restaurant is a seafood buffet. It was built to resemble an 18th-century whaling tavern. To me, it was dark and dirty looking. I did not like that the drinks (soda) was not included in the price of the buffet!! It is mainly seafood. They do however have a potato and pasta bar. The food was just not good to me. I did not like the whole atmosphere. I would not eat there again. Not even with a coupon!
Favorite Dish: Fried Shrimp. That was the only good thing!

You simply can not beat the view that this roof top dining has! Parent hint...we found this a great spot to sip pina coladas and watch the ocean, and boardwalk. Interestingly enough, our teenagers walked past with friends, and we got a chance to see how they behave when they think we are not around (ie, good spy spot)! ;-)
Favorite Dish: Salad and Pizza!!
Cheese Steaks are great too!
They serve mixed drinks and beer also!

Great food, beautiful restaurant, what a view! Ask your hotel for a recomendation, and you may get a coupon to this great tradition at the begining of the boardwalk. It is right by the museum, and some great rides too, beautiful shops, location is a plus too!
It is a bit pricy, so save it for your big dinner out!
Favorite Dish: Raw Bar is open Saturday and Sunday.
I like the Chicken Chesapeake, Chicken breast stuffed with crab meat. Yum! Great salad with dinner, and all the side dishes you can eat!

Salvatorie's. It's a pretty good Italian restaurant out on Route 50. The sad thing is that you have to drive to it. There might be an Italian restaurant on the Coastal Highway, but I didn't see one.
I had the Seafood lasagna. It was unbelievable.

I have a lot of favorite restaurants--but the one I always steer visitors to is Captain's Galley in West Ocean City. It is without a doubt, hands-down, the best restaurant for the famous Maryland crab cake. I've lived in Maryland all my life and have eaten muchos crabcakes--these are the best--and they are bursting with succulent backfin crab meat (that's the big white chunky meat) and almost no filler. You can't beat the rest of the menu either--shrimp salad is another winner!
The food and the location--it's in the commercial harbor and you can get a table overlooking the water,
watch the commercial boats come in--'Perfect Storm'
kind of boats.
Favorite Dish: See above.
