We had previously toyed with the idea of visiting Chesapeake Bay while in either DC or Baltimore. In any other country there’d be public transport opportunities and bus trips galore, but this is a nation of car lovers, so – despite our best research and some friendly advice from fellow VTers – we couldn’t for the life of us come up with any alternative way of getting there, so had to resort to hiring a car.
They provide transportation by land or water, around, to and from the town of Saint Michaels Maryland and the metropolitan areas of Washington DC, Baltimore MD and Philadelphia PA. They also provide narrated harbor tours of historic Saint Michaels, sunset boat cruises & charters, and moonlight cruises.
Saint Michaels is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland about 30 miles south of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The closest larger town to Saint Michaels is Easton. It is a nice day trip from Baltimore and Washington. To get to Saint Michaels, take US 50 to MD Route 33
