From their web site :
The Children's Discovery Museum
A wonder-filled 120 year old Victorian house with rooms, corridors, and closets creatively transformed into ten hands-on exhibit areas especially for toddlers and pre-school children and their families. Because of the small spaces in the building, we suggest that you use back pack carriers or SnuglisĀ® in place of strollers.
The Science Discovery Museum
A creative and challenging interactive experience designed especially for school aged children, filled with innovative theme spaces for hands-on experimenting with the basic sciences and math. All spaces in the building are handicapped accessible. There is also an elevator for your convenience.

Various jazz performers make their way out to Acton to perform at one of the islands of this culture outside of a major metropolitan area. Every seat is a good seat.
On some nights it's open mike and you never know what you might hear, but most nights it's the best jazz talent around.
They do serve food and drinks and there is room for some dancing too.
Check out their web page for a performance schedule.

Yep,
You can actually get a train from Boston (North Station) to Acton. The South Acton stop is just after the West Concord stop.
Handy if you don't have a car or don't want to bring one into Boston.
However, you will need someone to pick you up at the train 'station/stop'. There are no buses or any other forms of transport except walking and cars otherwise. Maybe a taxi is an option, but I have never seen one waitig at the train station (er.. train stop)

Acton-Boxborough HS is the #1 ranked HS team in Massachusetts with 45 or so consecutive wins.
This doesn't matter much to me, but it seems significant.

One day I looked out the window and saw about 20 squirrels romping around the yard across the street.
That's a lot of squirrels!
In the picture I was only able to identify about 15 of them.

Favorite thing: Yes, VT has it's flying kiwi (see Flyingkiwi tour )and we have ours too. Kiwi is a lovebird who likes to get out of his cage and fly around the house buzzing the cat.
Maybe he'll get a chance to meet the other world traveling flying Kiwi??
