Arlington has many restaurants come and go. I usually stick to my local favorites and go out of town to eat. I never noticed Tryst before but saw it on opentable.com, a website I trust for fine dining recommendations.
Tryst is a wonderful find! I hope it doesn't disappear like so many restaurants in this town do.
Tryst has the best food in town. Dinner is a little expensive, but so worth it. Lunch is pretty affordable.
Romantic atmosphere and friendly service.

Favorite Dish: Bacon Wrapped Golden Trout stuffed with lobster & cornbread dressing, toasted almonds, and braised greens. (DINNER) It's the signature dish at Tryst and it is fabulous!!

Wild Boar Ragout with hand rolled potato gnocchi & parmesan. (STARTER) The visual presentation at Tryst is usually fantastic but it was difficult to enjoy the Wild Boar. The portion size and the bowl it's served in just do not match. It's like getting a tablespoon of food served in a barrel. The $12 price tag for such a small portion is embarrasing. It's a shame too, because the Wild Boar is actually quite good.

Hot Pressed Turkey Sandwich with shaved granny smith apple, cobb smoked bacon, gruyere. (LUNCH) I normally hate bacon but Tryst pairs it in such a way that it's fantastic and 2 of my favorite dishes here feature bacon. I usually get the Turkey Sandwich for lunch.

Banana Stuffed Brioche French Toast with brown sugar rum syrup (SUNDAY BRUNCH) Nothing goes better with this Banana Stuffed French Toast than some Jazz music.

Za stands for PizZA. . There are only 2 items on the menu, pizza and salad. The limited selections are creative ones. Salads aren't the traditional lettuce, tomato and dressing. They are visually appealing presentations, I tried the Beet Salad. The pizza toppings are also different, such as potatoes, pears, and goat cheese. The pizzas are about 10" in diameter and are good. However, Za is overpriced and it's menu is too limited. They charge for the fancy looking food and concentrate less on the quality. It is good food, but it sounds better on the menu then it actually is.

not expensive by Arlington standards, but expensive for what you get.

My quest to count all the coffee shops/places to get coffee continues...
that way if you just paid one million dollars for a condo (glorified apartment) you will feel secure in knowing you will never want for bagels or croissants.

The owner of Krazy Karry's is very attentive and even a little quirky. Chances are good that he'll stop by your table to say hello and he just might ask you, "Are these are the best burgers you've ever had?" Back when the restaurant first opened, I overheard the owner asking an informant (not sure if it was an employee or a customer) what the word on the street was regarding his new restaurant. Not a particularly funny question, it was the delivery that struck me as hilarious. For some reason I was reminded of that guy on Sesame Street asking, "Would you like to buy an "O"? " I knew from that moment on that Krazy Karry's was my kind of place. Arlington is a town rich in restaurants but poor in personality. Donald Buehler of Krazy Karry's is a refresing addition to this town.
Krazy Karry's fills a gap in Arlington, a town with no fast food or decent places to get a hamburger.
Krazy Karry's serves juicy Angus burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads and chili. With a minimum order of $5.00 you get free Cotton Candy. After you place your order, you get a number and have a seat, your food will be brought out to you.

Favorite Dish: Burgers : The Wild & Krazy Burger, Zorba Burger, Make Room for the Shrooms Burger, Classic Cheeseburger

The Chili is phenomenal.

Jimmy's has been around for as long as I can remember and before the restaurant boom in Arlington it was the only local place to get a good and inexpensive meal. Now that the town is restaurant-rich, Jimmy's is still old reliable. Jimmy's is huge compared to other restaurants in the area and is almost always crowded. Reservations aren't accepted and sometimes there is a wait, there is a wating area and a bar where you can booze it up before your meal. It's a popular place for senior citizens, but all ages and personalities come here. The food is standard American fare, the prices have gone up but it's still affordable.

Favorite Dish: Steak Tips

There's no lack of pizza places in Arlington. We have 2 chain restaurants, Papa Ginos and Dominos. A lot of local places, like Capris. Also, a unique pizza concept place, Za.

There are at least 15 places in town to get pizza. That's probably a conservative estimate. That doesn't include nearby restaurants in neighboring towns such as Lexington, Cambridge, Medford, Somerville.

Favorite Dish: I love pizza but Arlington really needs to try something different. They won't allow fast food in town, no McDonalds or Burger King, because it brings in a "bad element" and rats. Somehow pizza, chinese food and coffee joints are okay. They really really need something new.

I found myself in need of food while avoiding the locals, so I stumbled upon what appeared to be a safe haven , Krazy Karry's Backyard Grill. First and formost , the sign outside is crooked! ? If I had to guess , I think someone was trying to put a clever accent on the position of the words to make you feel like this is really neat , but what it actually does is make you afraid that the "K " on Krazy is gunna come crashing down on your noggin'. Once you enter this Circus Charlie monstrosity , you're struck with the fact that the menu is adhered to these panels on the wall. So I began to search the menu. There is a choice of maybe 4 burgers. Now that is crazy! Well at least it's probably cheap right?! Nope , not that either. So you order , and Wallah! They hand you a number and you go and sit down. They bring your meal to you and there are no extras , just a burger wrapped in a tinfoil encasement.

Favorite Dish: So I was about to bite into this delicious burger and the manager sticks his perverted , fired, ex-gym teacher face into mine and exclaims in a fiendish childlike squeal , " Is this the best burger you ever had?! ". What does one do ? I said , yes. I was afraid to say no. It had thrown me that this manager guy has stalked me to my table and waited for just the right moment to strike. It was creepy. So I finished up and left in a hurry. To sum up. Krazy Karry's is Krazy sukky!

My wife and I both enjoy good Indian food, and Punjab delivers! We were thrilled to find this gem of a restaurant when we moved here. The atmosphere is nice, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable.

Favorite Dish: The staples that we can't seem to get enough of are the Chicken Korma and the Saag Paneer. The korma is creamy, spicy, and aromatic with chunks of exteremely tender chicken served (of course) with delicate basmati rice.

The Saag Paneer is a creamy spinach dish that has chunks of homemade Indian cheese that tastes kind of like young mozzarella, only it maintains its shape in the heat. It's a great vegetarian dish.

It's seriously good stuff, and a great introduction to Indian food if you haven't tried it before.

They have carry out service. We often do that instead of dining at the restaurant itself.

The naan is great, but a rip off at $3.50 a piece. But we still get it every time, because it's good.
