Favorite thing:
Revere Beach is a beautiful beach that has undergone a complete renovation over the past few years. The boulevard now features extended walkways, old fashion light poles (50's style), trees, fine Italian style dining at Antonia's Restaurant ( http://www.antoniasatthebeach.com ) the world famous original Kelly's Roast Beef (http://www.kellysroastbeef.com/) the annual Sand Sculpting Festival ( http://www.reverebeachpartnership.com/nessf07/index.htm ) impressive high rises such as the Breaker's Condominium with gorgeous panoramic ocean views from every room ( http://www.RevereCondo.com ) and the soon to be built Ocean Club ( http://www.liveatoceanclub.com ) the water testing shows this beach to have significantly cleaner water than the beaches on the south shore and the sand is filtered and cleaned regularly by the D.C.R. the beach is a national historic landmark and among the nicest beaches in the Boston Area to visit. With fine dining, famous fast food, sand sculpting, clean sand and water and endless events along the boulevard the completely renovated Revere Beach easily earns 5 stars.
Fondest memory:
Visiting Revere Beach just north of the city
Favorite thing: While driving around, lost and knowing we must be close, and looking for our hotel, we ended up at Revere Beach. Driving along on a cold morning, this was not the place to find bikini babes, frolicking in the surf. Rather, there were a few folks, mostly senior citizens, going for walks along the sea wall. It looked like a great spot to visit in the Summer, with lots of funky shacks selling lobster rolls, ice cream, etc. I'll have to check it out some time when things warm up.
