I was rather amazed to note, that they do not have electric kettles in the U.S.A. You would think, that they would, (wouldn't you?)They still use the old style stove kettle with the whistle, which is nice, but you have to hang around waiting for it to boil (This is no good in a MA winter I can tell you!) I asked a few people why this was and no-one could tell me. A few years later, I was on tour with my band and the sound engineer (electronic wizzard) explained that they do not have the voltage for electric kettles. (I knew there had to be some logical reason for it). So an electric kettle would take an age to boil (apparently). He also said, that if you took one of those tiny travel kettles and an adapter plug, it may well do the trick. Sad, but true, my family used to send me over PG Tips. I'm sorry, I am usually adaptable in a country, but I was there to live and it was a long cold winter. (Pic is of the 'comfort kettle' he he How appropriate). Leave a Comment
