BEER WORKS ?INFAMOUS? GIANT NACHOS
Blue & yellow corn chips piled high with jack & cheddar cheese, jalapenos, olives, tomatoes & scallions. Served with sour cream & salsa. Available with: Ground Beef, Chicken, Chili, Guacamole
The nachos here are very good, but what you're really going to Boston Beer Works for (if you couldn't figure it out already...) is the BEER!
All the beers served here are brewed on the premises and are quite good if you ask me. The most original, and a favorite of first timers at this watering hole is the Blueberry Beer. Blueberry Beer is a tasty treat featuring a crisp and light blueberry flavored beer that is accented with actual blueberry floating around in it! I know it sounds odd, but it is very good. Added bonus: The blueberries float all around the glass give the drink a familiar lava lamp look.
Another favorite is Pumpkin Ale. It is a seasonal beer though, so they may not always have it on tap. This is a great place to be, especially on game day if you don't have tickets. Its fun to hang here in the evening too. Way back when, an article of my clothing used to hang behind the bar. What a girl wouldn't do for a free drink. Taste as many different beers as possible.

Beerworks is very close to Fenway Park & Kenmore Square, so it's a very popular place. The beer menu varies depending on the season.

Best thing is to get the sampler of beer so you can taste different kinds of beer that they brew

Boston Beer Works have two big operations in Boston (near Fenway Park and near the Fleet Center) and one in Salem. Keep in mind that if there's a big event on in either location both places are likely to be humming.
They have TVs everywhere so patrons can keep up with the latest action, but they also do some excellent beers. They have a much wider selection than most brewpubs, and virtually all of them are high-quality brews.
The locations lack a little in character - the steel fittings don't help - especially if there's no event on and your group is lost in the middle of an empty bar, but when the Red Sox or the Celtics are in a crunch game, the mood of the crowd can be infectious.
Boston Beer Works re-vamped their menus a few years back and it shows: they go well beyond the brewpub basics, with plenty of tasty pasta dishes to complement the more familiar sandwiches. The quality of the food, and the presentation, even for a humble burger, are also excellent. On our last visit, we had a tasty burger with red onions, and a fabulous fried chicken platter, but really, we could have picked almost anything from the menu.
Beware the nachos: the portions are obscene, so make sure there's a crowd to share them!
Their Bluebeery beer is a popular choice, but it's not one of our regulars: we're not really fans of the sweet/fruity beers.
