Bull and Finch: TV history and Tourist Attraction
The Bull and Finch is always a fun place for a lunch or afternoon get together. Made famous by the Cheers TV show, it serves typically bar fare. The burgers are good and I actually got extra crispy fries, something most restaurants just don't seem to be able to accomplish.

Bull & Finch Pub: CHEERS TO ALL
This is a tourist hot spot. The hit TV show "Cheers" now in reruns, forever, brings people from all over, just to say they had a drink here. So, I did too! It can get crowded in the summer with the tourists who loved "Cheers", but the wait is worth it to say that you stopped by for a pint of Cheer.
Favorite Dish: Most of the food is average here but fun to be part of the scene. After a few tips of the elbow, I can't remember what I was eating, but I think it tasted good. Hic!!!

CHEERS: WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
WHAT DO I NEED TO SAY ABOUT CHEERS? This is where the exterior shots were done for the famous tv series. Also many shots across the street in the Boston Common. The actual bar inside has a different name (Bull & Finch Club???) and doesn't look the same, as the interior shots were done on a Hollywood sound stage.
Favorite Dish: never ate or drank there. Did buy a t-shirt and a coffee mug, though.

Cheers: Cheers- The Real One
Sure it's touristy. But the Cheers Pub actually served up some extremely good food, especially the clam chowder. However, don't really bother going here if you're looking for a bargain as it attracts a lot of tourists, so they know they can upcharge a bit.
Favorite Dish: Clam Chowder
Bull & Finch Pub (Cheers): NOTHING LIKE THE TV SHOW
Every tourist for some reason shows up at this famous pub while they are in Boston. I never got wrangled into going here for enjoyment. I worked here as a hostess. The inside looks nothing like the show and frankly its always over crowded and noisy. I have to admit, the gratutities were great, tourists tend to be very generous when you give them directions or offer some friendly advice and shopping or good places to eat.

Cheers - Faneuil Hall & Marketplace: Where everybody knows your name...
I know, I know, soooo touristy, but I simply couldn't go to Boston without having a pint at Cheers! We actually went to Cheers for dinner and I was very pleased with what was on the menu - we ordered a rather large selection of Sam's starters and weren't disappointed. The sandwiches (Frazier's favorites!) and burgers were also quite good and our bill wasn't too enormous so I was glad to see that although this is a popular tourist spot, they don't take advantage of their reputation to rip you off - you'll actually get a pretty good meal, and don't forget to order a pint of Sam Adams to wash it down!
Bull & Finch Pub (Cheers): Cheer's Pub, Crowded but good beer!
The Bull & Finch appear to have succumbed to the pressure and are now known as Cheers.
We stopped in for a quick visit and beer and were actually surprised. I've heard a lot of negatives about this place and many consider it a tourist trap. The service was quick and friendly despite the place being VERY crowded.
The Sign outside is the only thing you will remember from the Show. The inside is not as open and is evidently packed around the clock. There are a couple of gift shops in the Bar as well fully stocked with memorabilia. Get the "Norm's Nuts" just for conversation!
Favorite Dish: The Clam Chowder is Excellent. A cohort had the Fish and Chips and reported that they were excellent as well.
The Beer was Great with an excellent selection of local area beers on Draft.
Cheers: A Place Where Everybody Knows Your Name!
A small watering hole in Boston that has a familiar name...Cheers. It is nothing like the Cheers we watched on tv for years, but it is worth a visit.
The menu offers typical American finger foods like: nachos, chicken fingers, buffalo wings, chili, clam chowder, baked beans, burgers and sandwiches. Not a bad place to stop and rest your feet after walking all around Boston.
When in Rome do as the Romans do--When in Cheers do--- as Norm does..have a beer at the bar!
Visit souvenir shop for the proverbial beer mug with the Cheers logo. Its nostalgic and fun!!
Bull & Finch Pub (Cheers): Cheers
Bull & Finch Pub is the inspiration for one of the all-time classic TV shows, Cheers. The inside is nothing like the TV set, but this is still a unique place to stop and have lunch.
It is one of the biggest tourist stops in Boston, and most likely you will have to wait for a table. There is a gift shop upstairs to buy Cheers memorabilia and souvenirs while you wait, or you can take pictures at the famous entrance.
Dress is casual, and reservations are not accepted. Hours are 11 AM - 2 AM daily. Beacon Street is the original location. A new one just opened up at Faneuil Hall.
Favorite Dish: The burgers are great here. Haven't tried anything else.
Bull & Finch Pub (Cheers): Most expensive Beer in Boston!
I am aware that the Bull&Finch Pub is a restaurant as well as a pub, but I have to tell you that I have not eaten there. I can only comment on the bar area - so here it is.
Firstly, if you are a huge fan of the TV show 'Cheers', then yes, you must go here and enjoy a brew or two. However, I just want you to know that although this very pub was the inspiration for 'Cheers', it truely looks nothing like the TV set. 'Cheers was INSPIRED by this establishment, not copied from it. If you are a real fan of the show, this will probably not matter, but I thought I should mention it.
Secondly, because of the pub's popularity with tourists (because of the whole 'Cheers' connection) the price of a pint of beer is higher than in most places. A round for you and a friend is going to cost you more than $10, and that's before you tip your bartender. Remember, I'm not saying you shouldn't visit here, I'm just saying going there, taking a picture and drinking ONE beer at 'Cheers' is probably all you really need to do here to get the full effect.
Beyond all that, the atmosphere was decent and the service equally as acceptable. Enjoy the TV show memorabilia lining the walls.
Favorite Dish: Forget the Bud Light, have a beer brewed in Boston while you are visiting The Hub.
Bull and Finch this Boston...
Bull and Finch this Boston institution served as the inspiration for the hit sitcom 'Cheers'. Great basic food, tons of memorabilia, and always a crowd. This fun spot is located across from the Public Garden at 84 Beacon St.
Cheers is not only a pub (downstairs) but also a restaurant on the first floor with a lovely interior. They serve traditional pub food such as New England clam chowder, burgers, fish and chips ...

Bull & Finch Pub (Cheers): Good Food & Memorabilia
Well you can choose from Sam's Starters, Woodies Goodies, Frasier's Favourites and Diane's Desserts. Plenty to choose from and something for everyone.
Favorite Dish: Scott had a pizza that was pretty good.
Bull & Finch: Cheers!
If you've watched "Cheers!" you might want to stop by. Unfortunately, the inside is different and Norm is nowhere to be found.
Favorite Dish: ....mmm... Beer....
