    Legal Seafood is a New England Chain that offers a wide variety of seafood of outstanding quality. In addition to the food, they also have a good beer and wine selection as well.

    We ate at the Legal Seafood by the Aquarium and it is almost always crowded. Expect a wait to be seated or hang out at the bar. It's worth the wait!

    The Clam Chowder is one of their specalties and they claim to have served it at the last six Presidential Inaugurations.

    I also had the Lobster Ravioli. It was good but not as good as the Lobster Ravioli that they make at Strega in Boston (see elsewhere).

    Check out their fresh catch as well!

    Legal Seafood started out small and is now a chain in several Boston locations. Very fresh seafood at market price. You will not be let down.

    I love the fried clams.

    The surrondings may be modern but the food is to everyone's liking. I believe that this is the best seafood restaurant in Boston. The prices are high but so is the quality of the food that they offer. You will not find a better seafood restaurant in the heart of Boston.

    The clam chowder and the lobster are tops on my list. My daughter worked for this restaurant when she was going to school in Boston and she was hghly impressed with all the dishes that Legal Seafood prepares.

    I am not sure if the problems we had with service here were due to an overwhelming crowd from the Boston marathon being held earlier in the day or if it is always like that there. I had made reservations online with opentable.com MONTHS before the scheduled date of our dining experience, however, we had to wait for about 15-20 minutes for our table. I expect to be seated immediately when I have reserved an exact time for my meal. Aside from the wait, everything else seemed to be going very well until all of our party except for my husband and I (so 6 others) were served their food together. It was another 20 minutes later and after much complaining that we finally received our meals. The waiter never apologized for the problems, but the manager was sent over to the table to make nice-nice with us. He did end up taking both of our meals off of the bill, which was very nice.

    I ordered the Lobster Ravioli. It was very delicious, but was not enough food. I should have ordered a bowl of clam chowder and if I had known how little food I was to receive, I would have.

    Skip Legal Seafood. Extreme amount of money for the inverse quality of the experience. I would say skip it and check out some of the more interesting places with character.

    Once upon a time, Legal Seafood was a great underdog in the industry. Cutting out the middle man and handling things themselves, Legal WAS a "cut above the rest". But success was too good to Legal.

    But do remember, if you don't go, you'll never get a chance to experience Legal Seafood again (unless you're in Virginia, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Mass, Maryland, Florida, or the District of Columbia)

    Water, because I wasn't paying for it.
