Villa Francesca is one of dozens of very good Italian restaurants in Boston's North End. I have been here numerous times, most recently in summer 2004 when I enjoyed a great lobster ravioli with appetizer, Italian beer, coffee, and desert for about $50 per person. This restaurant has very good service and for a special treat you can sit at one of the tables in the open windows overlooking busy and narrow Richmond street.
The restaurant was created around 1970 by Guglielmo Ranauro, who named the establishment after his mother. The menu includes a variety of soups, salads, appetizers, pastas, meats, and especially seafood.

Ristorante Villa Francesca: Ristorante Villa Francesca...in the North End
Ristorante Villa Francesca is another one of my favorite places to eat in the North End. There are three separate dining areas in the restaurant and during the summer months the large bay windows in the front of the restaurant will be open to the street.
Favorite Dish: I always get one of nightly specials and usually something with seafood (mussels, clams or lobster) and a little extra spice thrown in for good measure. The Lobster Gondola is really good as well.
