Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market: Victoria's Secret
Victoria's Secret is a chain of stores that carries women's lingerie and clothing items as well as some cosmetics and fragrance. My wife likes their bras, underwear and lingerie and I must admit I do as well. We wound up in Victoria's Secret simply because we were in shopping mode and it was the next store in line. A black and pink lace bra caught my eye and I simply had to get it for my wife. The bra was inexpensive at $38.
Best of Boston: New England Themed Items
The Best of Boston is a shop that has Boston and New England themed merchandise. The store is quite quirky with Lobster potholders, lobster shaped salt and pepper shakers among other items. It's definitely a place for picking up a touristy souvenir for yourself or for a gift. I found a nice red shirt that said "Stinky's Lobsta Shack"....I liked it. Liz noticed I liked it so she went ahead, found my size and bought it for me. That's my wife...indulging my love of the strange tee-shirts.
What to pay: My tee shirt was $24.99
Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market: Welcome To FOODIE HEAVEN
Faneuil Hall has vendors selling everything imaginable but the real treat here are the food stalls. You could spend a day and a sizable amount of $$$$ eating, drinking ale and people watching. It's where the tourists come and that's for a reason. The place is jumpin' wiith street performers and if you like people watching this is the place.
What to buy: I buy anythingthat says Boston. I'm such a tourist.
What to pay: A few bucks to a lot. It depends on your budget.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Faneuil Hall has served as a marketplace and a meeting hall since 1742. Today there are about 17 restaurants and pubs, 40 food stalls, and 80 shops and push carts with merchandise not found in retail stores.
What to buy: Jewelry, formal and casual clothing, accessories, and giftware.
Faneuil Hall: Redbarn Coffee Roasters
Just inside Faneuil Hall is a shop selling really good coffee beans. Most coffee is too highly roasted for my taste. Here they had a range of beans and a range of roasts.
What to buy: Because we had no grinder in our appartment we asked Redbarn to grind the beans for us. We normally buy the bean and keep them in the freezer until we are making the coffee and freshly grind the coffee.
We particularly liked the Red Barn Blend.

Quincy Market - Central Hall: Fast food paradise
In some respects Quincy Market Central Hall is totally, and completely, dominated by its fast food outlets. Those who know me as a campaigner against fast food and particularly international fast food retailers and the detrimental effect they have on our national foods, would expect me to be critical of Quincy Market but there were several fast food retailers in the Market that were producing good quality, freshly cooked New England local foods that can be eaten as you are walking along or outside, even watching the entertainers. I noticed several retailers were making local Chowders that looked particularly good.

FANEUIL HALL/QUINCY MARKET: OUTDOOR SHOPPING
Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market is located in downtown Boston, next to the Financial District, the waterfront, & the Boston Aquarium. It's a nice place to go shopping (with a lot of chain stores, small boutiques, & pushcarts) & also to buy souvenirs. If you get hungry, visit the Quincy Market Colonnade where there are some restaurants & food vendors.
In warmer weather, come here to be entertained by street performers: magicians, musicians, clowns, mimes, dancers, acrobats, caricature artists, etc.
This is a great place to bring the kids!!
Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market: Clark's Shoes
If you like English clothing and Shoes, give Clarks a try. It's originally an English company, and their shoes are really beautiful, and of outstanding quality.
