Here in the middle of that park is the bridge over Swanlake, there can you go in a Swanboat for a trip over the lake (small lake).
The Common's a well-tended to park and a lovely place to take a stroll in. Although I work right by it, I don't go there enough. Shame. It's nice place!
Don't forget The Public Gardens next to Boston Commons. This was my favorite part of town, a true oasis of quiet set right in the center of this bustling big city.
"Make Way For Ducklings" - Mrs. Mallard, Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack. Inspired by the book written by Robert McCloskey
PUBLIC GARDEN: Nation's oldest botanical garden.
Adjacent to Boston Common; across from Charles Street.
The swan boats have long been a tradition in the duck pond in the Public Garden. You can still get a ride for under a dollar.
