 | Brookline Restaurants | Tips 1 - 10 of 17 | | The Golden Temple is a very pretty, large and really popular Chinese Restaurant in Brookline. The food is really good, the atmosphere is fun and it turns into a Disco on weekend nights. What more could you want in life than a Chinese Food and dancing? Not much.
Had a really tasty Catfish dish and I loved the Chow Foon with Beef. And here's a picture of their Pu Pu Platter to make you droooool. I've only ever had the sushi here so I can't speak for the rest of the food. The sushi is so good and the fish is so fresh that I might not ever try anything else there! We had the Fried Red Bean ice-cream for dessert. Excellent! This restaurant is also beautifully decorated and they have gorgeous turquoise blue glass sinks in the Ladies rooms that I feel are worth mentioning! My friends and I just love this place. It's your basic BBQ joint. When you walk in the first thing you'll notice is the BBQ pit right in the middle of the restaurant and the constant shooting flames erupting from it. Oh, and the smell who could miss that?

Why does Store 24 have sushi? How long has it been "ready to eat?' Who's eating this stuff when there are so many Japanese restaurants around? And why is it "fully cooked?" Leave a Comment Theme: Japanese/Sushi

This may be the only Buddha Delight location left. It is fabulous and cheap. If you like Chinese or Vietnamese food and are a vegetarian who sometimes wishes you weren't, everything here will make you happy. But. If you have access to anything other than your feet/public transport, do go and check out Grasshopper in Allston.
The green bean shakes are amazingly good. Everything is delicious, but I am partial to vermicelli with beef. In general, the beef and chicken are a little better than the fish and pork. In my opinion. You should probably try them all. Appetizers are also fun and good. Buddha Delight is on the left in the midst of a block of stores.

Grasshopper is a nice, sit-down vegetarian restaurant that feels all special-occasion without being stuffy. If I were going on a blind date and my date suggested Grasshopper, I would consider it a sign from above. And yet this place is relatively cheap. The variety of dishes is amazing, and in addition to really strong entrees, the soups, appetizers, and desserts are also good. As are the juices and shakes.
You Must Ask For the No-Name Special. Capisce? Entiendes? It is not on the menu. It is unbelievable. You will want one of your own, but the portion is easily large enough to feed two hungry people. If you have been off meat for a while and still have cravings for things like General Gao's chicken, this is The dish for you. Also, I have a green bean shake fetish, which is a personal problem, but Grasshopper's version is quite yummy. Village Smokehouse is great Texas style-BBQ restaurant in a convenient location with reasonable prices. The decor of the restaurant has a Texas/western flair, and all meals are serves with cornbread and bakes beans. The open-flame BBQ is front and center, and you can watch ribs being fired up...
I highly recommend the baby back ribs. The meat slides off of the bone. The mashed potatoes are also excellent as a side with this dish. Leave a Comment
