You might walk by here and not really notice the place but it does have some nice stores inside. There's a lovely jewelry store, a really messy watch-battery type place, a tailor that also sells fun vintage jewelry, and an eatery. Fun thing about the eatery is that it has tables out in the hallway. So it's like you can eat al fresco while still indoors.
In Boston, this is a good thing.

Boston's only not-for-profit theatre. They show first run arthouse films, independent films, international cinema, documentaries, cinema classics, and midnite movies. Basically, this isn't the typical mainstream theater at the mall. It's unlikely that Mr. Moviefone (movies.aol.com) will do a "reel deal" feature on these films.
I feel so luckly to live in an area rich with wonderful place to see movies (Brattle, Kendall..) and Coolidge Corner is one of the best. I have so many great memories here. This is where I discovered the annual 24 hour Sci-Fi Marathon , sing-a-long Sound of Music, Spike and Mike's Festival of Sick and Twisted Animation, Midnight showings of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Once More With Feeling, and my cousin had one of her films screened upstairts ( Old Man Dogs ).
The main theatre seats 600 people, the one upstairs seats about 250, the screening room seats a cozy 45.

The Brookline 300 Street fair was the best one I've been to here! Soooo many vendors, food stands, musicians and activities. It was exhausting and fun!
