Boston has the best public transportation system I've experienced--New York's is manageable if you have time to figure it out, but I didn't. Boston's is frequent, reliable, and on a pretty human scale. I used to be scared to ride underground, but after living in Boston, I am scared of very little, and I am a huge fan of riding the T. I think the price has gone up to $1.25 per ride, but a T pass is a great value for commuters. Or, because the T is indeed on a human scale, if you're headed outbound and find an aboveground stop, you can get on for free. Also, if you ride the green line (as opposed to the red, which has recorded voiceovers that are never synced to the correct stop), you can have a most excellent experience watching and listening to the T driver. And you should always say thank you when you get off the train. Leave a Comment Theme: Subway/Metro
