A 1912 sandstone observation tower, named to honor a long tradition of poets being drawn to the spot, most notably local poet Frederick Goddard Tuckerman. An uphill walk through the woods along a paved path brings you to the tower and a magnificent view of the city.

Not much here except a gift shop, a mini golf, and a life-sized
snarling bear statue, and of course the tower.
On a nice clear day, you can see three states:

The backwaters of Massachusetts...
I don't mean that in a negative way at all...My fondest memory of Greenfield is just driving past it on the highway up north...but I also worked there with homeless people for 6 months, interesting......
