Mystic Coffee Roaster is a cute little cafe/roastery in right Medford Square. They roast their own coffee beans right in the shop! There are about 6 tables so it's really small but there is usually a seat or 2 available. Great pastries too. They have Iggy's bagels which are the best in the Boston area. And they get their pies, muffins and scones from Petsi Pies, which are all to die for! But as good as the pastries are, the coffee is really the reason to come here. They roast and blend their own espresso, which is the best I've ever tasted, so the lattes & cappuccinos are amazing!

Unfortunately, Krispy Kreme tried to expand too far too fast and, much to our dismay, our local shop has now closed! So sad....
After six months in New York City and various trips down south, we were very excited to hear that Medford had been picked as the site of the very first Krispy Kreme bakery in Massachusetts! That doesn't seem like such a big deal now that they have many other locations in the area, but at the time it was big news.
Favorite Dish: Krispy Kreme has has many doughnut choices, but all the regulars will tell you, the plain glazed are the speciality. When the "Hot" light is lit up on the sign, drop in for a hot, freshly-baked, often-free doughnut and a delicious cup of coffee. Or, grab a dozen to go.

Don't ask us what the name of this Main Street, Medford hot spot means because we have no idea. (Maybe someday we'll ask.) For the time being, we aren't going to let not knowing get in the way of enjoying their delicious food. They have all varieties of pizza and a large selection of hot and cold italian subs.
Favorite Dish: As always, we love pepper and onion pizza, served piping hot and delivered directly to our door.
Their chicken version of a steak bomb is also a big hit with just the right amount of cheese...lots!

Bocelli's is a popular neighborhood spot - the kind of place that groups of friends go to once a week, or where the local Rotary club meets. It's a friendly restaurant, without any pretentions, which no doubt accounts for the regular repeat business. The service is quick, the food is very tasty, the prices are low, and the menu is more than varied enough to provide plenty of novelty on repeat visits.
Favorite Dish: We especially enjoyed the lemon and caper chicken - the chicken was very tender, and the sauce tangy. The gnocchi, served in a marinara-style sauce, are also excellent - and were almost as good when we reheated the leftovers a couple of days later at home!
