Pittsfield Restaurants

Food and service is very good. Good casual. Located in a bright blue house down the block from Mark Belanger Field. Tom the owner is very personable and has been known to mingle with the customers.

The fruit and vegetables served are purchased that day from the local markets in town and they certainly taste it. The house salad which contains fruit and vegetables in a vinaigrette have a great and distinct taste. The entrees are superb with creative names. All ingredients are purchased that day. No artificial ingredients are used. All the tables have salt and pepper shakers so you can add if you wish. I personally did not feel the need. I would not want to change a great dish. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this place.

They only accept cash, checks and IOUs. Reservations are recommended. They are opened Wed - Sun from Memorial Day to Labor Day and Wed - Sat the rest of the year for dinner only. I believe during the day they are purchasing the ingredients to prepare their meals. They choose well. They only accept cash, checks and IOUs. Reservations are recommended.

Favorite Dish: Whatever myself and my family have had has been exceptional.

It appears that everyone here drinks twisted tea. You find empty cartons of it on the ground everywhere you go, and you see ads for it in windows. I've never seen such an obsession with it anywhere else.

    Yeah...
