Salisbury Things to Do
The Merrimack, whose source is in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, has its mouth here, between Salisbury and Newburyport. It has a big estuary, that gets VERY wide.
There are 2 line ups for this restaurant. You walk up to the front of the building and give your order for fried seafood. If you want steamed you go inside (ie: steamers, lobster). They give you a number, and you wait for it to be called. You can eat the food inside or out on the Terrace, or you can have it as take-away.
It is not fancy, and it is fast-food style. Inside the benches are long picinic style tables.
Most of the food is fried and deep batter (what else isn't in this area?)

Salisbury Off The Beaten Path
Butler's Toothpick has a history. I will write it up soon, I promise. You can find it by the boat ramp, just down from the state park campground.
