Yankee Candle Company: Everything made of wax

    by Faiza-Ifrah Updated Dec 3, 2008

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

When I saw the building of Yankee Candle Company on Route 7 just outside of Lenox, I thought of buying gifts for friends back home.

Yankee Candle has become the #1 most-recognized name in the candle business and the country's best selling candle brand by sharing their customers' “passion for fragrance” in every product that they bring to market.

What to buy: With over 150 fragrances, they offer the world's largest and most compelling selection of candle and home fragrance scents. In addition to their renowned Housewarmer® line of scented candles, they also provide a wide range of seasonal and specialty scented candles, home fragrance products, car fresheners and candle accessories.

What to pay: Less than average.

Lee Prime Outlet Mall: Beautiful architecture and wonderful shopping

    by Faiza-Ifrah Written Oct 27, 2008

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This is the most beautiful Mall that we have seen in the Middle East, USA, or Canada. It is set in a valley with tree-laden mountains in the background (see pictures). The architectural design, landscaping and layout of the outlets are very well done. We thoroughly enjoyed shopping, as well as walking on its streets.

The food court is located in the north-east corner of the premises and the windows offer beautiful views of the outlets and the hills in the background.

Travel times from major cities: Albany, NY: 60 minutes, Hartford, CT: 90 minutes, Boston, MA: 160 minutes, Springfield: 30 minutes.

What to buy: The outlet mall had brands from the hottest names in fashion to America’s top factory outlets.

The day we were at the outlet mall, there were special bonus offers at different outlets. We availed the bonus offers and shopped for men and women apparel and shoes.

    What to pay: Very economical.

BERNIE & PHYL'S: Quality, Comfort and Price... that's nice!

by KarenandCory Written Aug 25, 2005

There's a local rivalry between furniture stores in Massachusetts. Jordan's Furniture provides a Disneyland-like atmosphere but their furniture is just not as good as Bernie & Phyl's. Bernie & Phyl's is unpretentious and has good quality furniture.

Bernie & Phyl’s has been listed as one of the “Top 100 U.S. Furniture Stores” by Furniture/Today for each of the past five years.

    Yankee Candle: Scented Candles

by daffodil Written Aug 18, 2004

if you like scented candles, go to the Yankee Candle Factory in Lennox. They have an abundance of seconds and overruns that are marked down. Their candles are probably the best scented candles I have seen. My favorite is Irish Cream.

What to pay: up to $30 for large candles

Quincy Market: Boston is the shopping city!

by paulapes Written Feb 9, 2003

Quincy Market...where you can spend oodles of money in no time! But seriously, it's a fun place to shop and eat...you can spend hours just in this small area.

It's located in the north end of Boston. In Italy it would probably be named Piazza Quincy, because it's in a big open plaza, together with Fanueil Hall, North Market and South Market.

In the plaza, jugglers, magicians, mimes and bands continually entertain a constant influx of people. It's just a really fun place to be!

What to buy: All sorts of items from around the world and of course, some souvenirs of Boston itself.

    What to pay: Lots!!!
