Adrian is a good place to see American domestic building types of the 19th century. This is a town that obviously places a high priority upon historic preservation. It's an example of the kind of place that many grandparents came from - strolling down the streets of Adrian I was possessed by a sense of my own Nana, and her musty attic, doilies on tea carts, and antimacassars.
Another handsome late 19th century structure, this was originally a lumber baron's mansion but it now houses the local historical society's library and museum.
This is a small office building for a realtor near Adrian's downtown. It's uncharacteristically self-effacing - brazenly dull, you might say.
