    Just down the road from the old church is a nice Veterans Monument. I feel it is important to remember the sacrifices made by our veterans and their contributions to our freedom and our way of life.

    Ahmeek is a very small town that is part of Allouez Township. The name is from the Ojibway word for Beaver. Ahmeek is located on the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula in Northern Michigan. Population is about 157. This church was built around the turn of the last century and it is associated with the Keweenaw National Historic Park.
