Bay City Things to Do

  • JManz's Profile Photo

We have wonderful trails that lead around the city. The Riverwalk pier is only part of the 10 mile loop that circles the city and goes all the way to the Saginaw Bay at the Bay City Recreation Area.
Nice sites, especially for nature lovers who want to walk, hike, bike. There is the Tobico Marsh that is attached to the Recreation Area.

Prices are very reasonable, and the wine list is great. Also its a family type restaurant, so you don't have to worry about if you want to take the kids.

Favorite Dish: Everything is great, but my favorite is the Chicken Fettucini Alfredo. Lots of garlic and very creamy sauce.

I-75 takes you right to Bay City and beyond. There are 3 exits to get you into town. West Side Saginaw Road, M-25 that takes you right downtown, and out into the thumb, and Wilder Road, that is closest to a big Meijer store.
Euclid Avenue is the main artery on the west side, followed closely by Wilder road. If traveling on the east side of Bay City toward the thumb, it is Center Avenue or M-25.

Please when using the beach at the State Park, be aware of the flag posted. Our beach is lovely, but some days the water is not so nice. Not that its gross to swim in, but that some days its not as nice as others.

Oh well our 4th of July festival is one of the best in the state and draws over 250,000 people to our town. This year it was on the 4th, 5th, and 6th. Always falls on the Thursday thru Saturday of the week of the 4th.
