An all day event leading up to the New Year. Many activities for the whole family which include bands, comedians, games, and fireworks. A town photo at 1pm in the city park which free copies are given out. Downtown shops and stores have bands or entertainers during the day and some activities on the lake. Late afternoon to Midnight the activities move to the High/Jr high school. Plenty to do and only $5 for the button for everything.

Local bar that has the normal bar and grill food. Nice bar atmosphere to hang out and have dinner and a beer. If your going to be in Cadillac on St. Patricks Day this is the place. Lots of green beer and big TVs. Lots of energy and fun. Plenty of giveaways, (hats, shirts, stickers, beads,...)

Favorite Dish: They have a special steak night that they grill out back. Various cuts from sirloins to porterhouses.

A nice downtown eatery that has various sandwiches and soups that are very good. Usually has 2 specials everyday that include soup or salad. Golden broccoli cheese soup is great. Also a coffee house that has regular and flavored coffee and cappucino. You should have a "frozen mocha", frozen yogurt with expresso. VERY GOOD. The frozen white chocolate raspberry is awesome too.

On the corner of Mitchell and Harris downtown Cadillac. Bar, dancing with DJ, and sometimes live bands in the street level bar. Sallys downunder is the basement bar that has darts and pool tables. Depending on what you want to do, both places are good hang outs for a beer.

Thursdays they have a new comedy night with dinner deal. Very funny. In Curlys bar they have Mike McNamara who plays the guitar and sings practically any song. Offers various stories and joking commentary between songs. Kareoke on Friday nights. (Mad Jack with "strokin"). They sometimes have the house band play and that is always a good time.

In and around Cadillac

US 131 bypass now goes around Cadillac with 3 exits. All exits go to the main drag called Mitchell St. On an average day it actually takes as much time thru town and all the lights as it does to go to the by pass and go to the next exit. Many nice shops in the Downtown Lakeside District. The franchises are mostly on the north side. (Mcdonalds, BK,Walmart, HomeDepot,...)
