    Calumet Theatre

Check out the schedule at the Calumet Theatre. Everything from the National Shakespeare Company and the Duluth Symphony to Doo-wop, Richie Havens, country western shows, folk festivals, community theater events, the Nutcracker, and local dance and school plays are performed here. The theater also has a "Club Indigo" series which includes a dinner and an old classic movie. The box office is open Tuesday - Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 2 hours before performances.

Dress Code: Nice Casual clothing will work fine at the Calumet Theatre.

Shute's: Lovely old tavern next to Opera House

Shute's Saloon is one of the most lovely bars in northern Michigan, IMHO. It retains much of its early 20th century atmosphere, with a beautifully restored pressed tin ceiling and delightful stained glass canopy above the wooden bar. Worth taking a peak just for the history of the place - said to be in continuous operation since 1895.
