The St. Joseph River flows from here south to South Bend, Indiana, then back north through Michigan to Lake Michigan. There is a pleasant trail along the river in town. Geese, ducks and other birds feed along the bank.

It's about 10 miles up the road from Constantine and another small town with quiet streets. Located in a non-descript street front is Paisano's Pizzeria. Wonderful Italian place. Traditional checkered table cloths. Everyone seemed to know somebody. Local school colors, trophies, and pictures were spotted around the room. Friendly and welcoming. Warm on a cold night.
Favorite Dish: Everything must be good. I don't remember what I eat.

Address: North Main @ 131
Located east of Three Rivers is Langley Covered Bridge. It's a Howe Truss. That means oversized X's form the side walls with steel rods adding tension between the X's.
i.e., X | X | X | X | X | X
It's one of a few covered bridges in Michigan or this close to northern Indiana. The 2nd picture below is a map of the bridges location on the St. Joseph River.

In the spring and fall, you'll enjoy the drive along U.S. 12. Head south from town, 4 miles (6.4 km) to the intersection with U.S. 12. Going east (left) you'll pass through small towns and by seasonal businesses. In autumn, you'll find the Mums in bloom and the pumpkins in quantity. Stop and smell the flowers (literally). You'll find fresh backed breads, cookies and seaonal treats. See my travelogue on U.S. 12
