Favorite thing: Michigan State University has its own student-run radio station WDBM 88.9 fm, known as The Impact. They play a great line-up of college alternative bands as well as some local bands. It is paid for by students so there are no annoying commercial breaks.

Favorite thing: Walk around north campus. On the ancient shady paths of MSU's north campus there are numerous relics of the university's 130+ years as an academic center for the midwest.
Fondest memory: Canoeing on the Red Cedar River on a quite summer's day with the chimes of Beaumont Tower's clock ringing in the distance.
