The Huron River runs right through Huroc Park, which has walking trails, picnic areas, fishing and playgrounds for the kids. There is a large gazeebo near the river that would be perfect for small, intimate outdoor weddings.
There are squirrels, and many birds in the park as well as bass, steelhead (seasonal) and other gamefish in the river. There is a bait shop right on the park's edge if you get the itch to fish or forgot some tackle.
Twice a year in the summer the park has a movie/family camping night in the park where people bring there tents and watch Disney movies on a portable big screen.
There is a Dairy Queen on the corner if the kids want some ice cream!
There are antique buildings all over the town, especially on Gibralter Road and down near the river, across from Huroc Park. They have relocated some of the oldest buildings into a park area behind the library on Gibralter Road, including the original General Store, which has been converted into a historical museum!
