Fall is our favorite time to visit Michigan, if you catch the right weekend, the trees along the way are awash in vibrant reds, yellows and oranges. Unfortunately we were either too early in the year or the leaves weren't going to change dramatically because of drought conditions this year. But fall is still a nice time to visit Frankenmuth, I can't think of a better season for the heavy German food served at Zehnder's or the Bavarian Inn and the sidewalks are decorated for the season with mums and a collection of scarecrows as part of the 2nd annual Scarecrow Festival. According to the website below, it looks like there were lots of other activities on the last two weekends in October.
Should you not have the time to print out any information from the attached website or order a free brochure from them, you can also stop by the tourism center at 635 S. Main Street.
