About 45mins West of Grand Rapids, on the eastern shore of lake Michigan is Grand Haven - a small resort town. Somewhere in the town is a park. In the park there are a bunch of trails in the woods. Somewhere on the side of one of the trails there grows a small blue flower.

The Fish Latter on the Grand River is quite popular with local fishermen. On days with favorable fishing conditions, you can see people wade into the middle of the river with their poles and tackle boxes. Feel free to join them if you wish, or just watch for a moment; it's not often you see people fishing in the middle of a big city!

Have you ever wanted to live on an island, all by your lonesome self? Well, these folks found a way! There's a small island on Thornapple River and with a house on it. The only way to get there is by ferry. Your own personal ferry, that is. Coming to think of it, going back & forth for half an hour would make for a good upper body workout. :)
You can see the ferry from Thornapple River Drive. Look for a yellow rope streteched across the river.

There's a small street off of Thornapple River Drive. On that street there grows a tree. I dunno. I just like the tree. Wonder how old it is?
