I love the homemade Jack Daniels Chocolate Chocolate ice cream for the cost of $2.50. Not a favorite of mine, but if you are up there, you've got to try a Pasty (pronounced past-tee). It is an old miners food that they would put in their pockets to eat for lunch. You can get pretty much anything you want inside of one, and on the outside their is crust.

The restaurant has the old world look to it. Dark wood bar and paneling. It also has restored paintings from the turn of the century and placed them on the ceilings. Very cozy atmosphere.
You have to start off the meal with a Fishbowl. They are a variety of mixed drinks served in a large brandy sifter. An appetizer of garlic toast with dip, and a tostada pizza. Trust me, it's to die for. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Located in the center of downtown Houghton.

Thus far it is Quincy's. I haven't eaten at any 'real' restaraunts in awhile. When I ate at this one awhile ago I was thouroughly impressed.
The atmosphere is really good, it is decorated well for being named after the Quincy Mining company. I liked the wood cabin feeling inside the restaraunt. And, the waitress' were nice, and checked up quite a bit.
The prices weren't bad, but hey, it is a supper club!
And, they do have nightly specials
I had the Whitefish, it was very good. awesomely good, and I don't usually like fish.

Most of the restaurants around town are great, but a few to be certain to stop by are Quincy's in Dollar Bay, the Hut Inn up in Kearsarge, and Steamer's down by Chassel.
At Quincy's, the Friday fish fry is the best. The Hut's Danwich and an apple dumpling will stuff you full, and the grand cuisine at Steamer's is beyond comparison to anything else! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Ambassador has a nice atmosphere with some cool murals on the walls and the side room has a nice view of the Portage Canal.
