There's only a couple eateries in Interlochen. One was the Hofbrau, pretty much your average bar-- a good place for finger food and sandwiches. Hofbrau- located at: 2784 M 137. Another place, whose name I can't recall, is right near the intersection of the two major roads that run thru Interlochen (actually on M 137, I think). It was more of a coffee shop with snacks and stuff. It was clean, brightly light, had books and magazines out to read etc. It caters to the 20 something crowd. The last place, Giovanni's, is an Italian eatery and had really good food. Prices were moderate and it is a nice place to enjoy a meal. Giovanni's- located at: 9205 U S 31 South, telephone # (231) 276-6244.
Interlochen What to Pack
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bug repellant to repel the mosquitos which breed in Interlochen's two lakes. Baby oil, if you plan to go swimming in those lakes, because they harbor a thing called 'swimmer's itch' which is most uncomfotable. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't but folks claim the baby oil helps repel it.Related to:

Pyramid Point- It's a tricky drive on some back roads and a short hike, but Pyramid Point's pristine beach is worth the trouble. Not a hike for the faint of heart... bring plenty of water. A good beach to find a Petosky stone (fossilized coral) to take home!
