DON'T pick up hitch hikers in this area (as if you would)! And BEWARE of the amount of McDonald's you consume due to the overabundance of hole-in-the-wall restaurants you can't find easily.

Walking in Ella Sharp park is a great refreshing experience in all seasons (except when it's really too cold!) It's just long enough for a good brisk walk for exercise and you can very often see deer there. There are also short hikes off the road into the woods. I have been thankful many times for this little haven in the midst of a busy life.

This an interesting town--home of Jack Kevorkian and many other convicts--as well as cathedrals, parks, and old grand homes...
Where else can you go see maybe 50 or 60 colorful hot air balloons inflate and rise all at once right before your eyes? There is also fair food, plane acrobatics and rides for the kids.
I have lived in Jackson for most of my life! It is where i was raised. In all honesty its not the most exciting town and I find myself complaining about it all the time but it does have a few things...
