Wayside is a huge entertainment center with pool tables upstairs, sports games on large screen tvs, and dancing everywhere. It's the meeting spot for most of the college, twenty-something, and thirty-something crowds in Kalamazoo. The scene is crowded and loud, but has good energy if you want to have a high-octane night.
Dress Code: Casual is king at Wayside. You can wear your favorite jeans and tennis shoes. Women tend to wear jeans with little tops.

Kalamazoo Brewing Company, founded by Larry Bell as a home-brewing supply shop in 1983, sold its first beer in 1985. Originally brewing in a 15-gallonsoup kettle, the company grew rapidly from first year's 135 barrels (BBL = 31gal.) of production. Kalamazoo Brewing has grown from a tiny operation rentingpart of a former plumbing supply warehouse, to a bustling, regional craft brewery that plays a role in changing the beerscape of our nation.

I wanted to let everyone know about a website that a friend and I are currently running, KzooBarDeals.com. The goal is to collect all the local drink specials, happy hours and various other deals and put them in one easy to use location. The site is even available on the go at KzooBarDeals.com/mobile. Currently we are already tracking 25 bars in the Kalamazoo area and hope to add more in the near future. We're looking for feedback from our users and welcome all your comments. We're also available on MySpace. Add us to your friends list to receive bulletins and other updates. Also, check our blog for highlighted specials every day.
Cheers!

Bells Brewery was originally established in 1983 as a home brewing supply shop. Bells is the oldest craft brewer east of Boulder Colorado. Bells Brewery has grown substantially, and currently brews over 60,000 barrels of beer anually. Bells brews beer artistically, creating the best, most authentic beer in the Midwest. In addition to brewing beer, the pub showcases many musicians from around the country.
Don't miss Oberon Ale (originally Sunshine Ale), an American Wheat Ale brewed with Szazz Hopps.

Bell's Brewery is one of the finest breweries in the country. My good friend, a beer snob, is delighted when I bring back a 6 pack fro Bell's after each trip to Kalamazoo. This is also great easy-going night spot for locals. There are lots of different brews on tap. If oyu want to take some home, you can even mix up the types in a 6 pack. You'll get all the variety in an easy to tow pack to enjoy later. Some of their best brews include, their Kalamazoo Stout, Amber Ale, Two Hearted Ale, Oberon Ale and Double Cream Stout. My friend's favorite, if he had to choose one, is the Oberon Ale.
Dress Code: Casual - make that very casual. Shorts and tennis shoes definitely fly here.

I have not been here, but my son and his friends go there often. They say it is the best fun in Kalamazoo. Perhaps we will go soon, as he says it caters to all adult ages.
Dress Code: Kalamazoo is a pretty casual town, so you don't need to dress up to go out.

It is such a hot place!! On thursdays it is Latin Night and by far has the best music that I have ever been able to dance to. The DJ plays a large variety of Latin Music: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and reggae just make the dance floor packed with the college age group and mid thirty's group. There is a large variety in the music which makes it upbeat and impossible for one not to have fun. The bartenders are really great!
Dress Code: Dress nicely. No sneakers. The girls are always looking hot wearing dress pants or skirts with flirty tops. Dress to impress.
