Im Mikado there is not a real lot of choices for food
and dinning. Betties ( Mikado Tavern ) serves a good
meal with out breaking the bank. But there are lots of places on US-23 or in Oscoda.

Favorite Dish: The Bob Cat grill just a little wayes up US-23
and have the best Prime Rib I've ever tasted
at a reasonable price. Yes I've been to a lot of fancy expancive restrants and they don't compair

Mikado Off The Beaten Path

  • by dryfeet69 Written Oct 5, 2002

MIkado is kinda the middle of everything and nothing
at the same time. Several roads lead to State land
and the little places like: Stone house bakery,
American Ledgon, Apple orachard, Indian cemetary,
Huron National Forest, the Pine River, and the freindly people make it a wonderfun place to off road. The DNR will provide maps for trails Winter or summer. Weather your into walking, sledding, or just want to cruse down an old logging road you'd not fine a better starting point
